The climate crisis continues unabated, with headlines about heat waves, fires, extraordinary arctic cold, droughts, and floods hitting us almost daily. Of course, we (human beings and Louisvillians) all must act now to mitigate climate change (and should have started doing so a long time ago)!
100% Renewable Energy Alliance of Louisville (REAL) is an informal affinity group advocating for 100% renewable energy and increased energy conservation in Louisville. We were born in September 2018 when we were able to get a 100% Renewable Energy Resolution introduced into Metro Council. An amended Resolution was finally passed in February 2020, and so we continue to press government and industry to implement it. We do this through political activity, policy proposals, public speaking, marketing, and more.
